I had failed the test before (maybe more than once). A few lessons with Garry and I finally passed. An excellent instructor. “Tar and Tyres”, “GOSHO” will always be remembered. Highly recommended. Thanks again Garry.
I've passed my test 1st time today with the help of Philip's professionalism, patience and support. Once he spotted my mistakes, he was determined to teach me the proper way of driving. I was not confident driving at first but he soon put me to ease. I would highly recommend Philip, Advance Drive.

Passed my Rigid test first time!!!! would definately recommend Advance Drive to any person thinking of doing there test. People claiming social allowances can get funding towards your Lessons to help you get your licence in any of the vehicles through Fas or the Social Office!!!

I passed my rigid truck (C) license at the first attempt yesterday, delighted! I did most of my lessons with Dezzie and one lesson with Mike. There were a few bumps along the road - took me a year from start to finish because my work interfered with booking and scheduling lessons - but Advance Drive as a company left me with the feeling that they care about each and every one of their students. They gave individual attention to me, and I am sure every student who chooses to train with them. Each person gets the education, practice, information and personal attention that they as an individual need. Now I feel like a competent and confident driver. I recommend this school. I want to thank particularly Dezzie for doing most of my lessons, your training style made everything feel very natural and easy and clear and I wish to thank everyone else who had a hand in my success: Mike, Phillip, and Aoife for all your help as a team to get me through at first attempt.

He is a very good teacher. I have changed many different driving instructors. I can say, that Declan always gives a very good examples from everyday life . What I’ve noticed from Declan’s teachings is that he is incredibly patient and he helps you understand exactly what you’re doing incorrectly in a calm and understanding manner during the EDT and extended lessons prior to my driving test. I highly advise newcomer learner drivers to select Declan as their driving instructor.

I just completed a 10 week GRETB bus drivers course. The course was managed and run by Advance Drive Galway . The course included ten two hour lessons. CPC training,first aid responders course and lifting and manual handling course. Advance Drive are a very professional organisation. There staff and management were very friendly, supportive and efficient in everything they did. My instructor for the 10 weeks was Vincent Jennings. He was an excellent tutor with great patience. He really prepared me for my test, which I passed on my first attempt. I would highly recommend Advance Drive for anyone considering bus driving as a profession.

Noel was patient and prudent.
He instructed me well. I was low on confidence when it came to driving, but within the first few classes, I was comfortable enough with him to overcome that fear.
I highly recommend him as an instructor because he starts from the basics and covers all the necessary detail to become a good driver.

Today i passed the Bus test on my first attempt.I also passed the Artic on my first attempt too with Advance. I would like to thank all the Management and Staff for their help and advice over the last few weeks. They have always been very helpful, professional and patient in their approach with students like myself. The 2 girls at front of house were always very helpful with any problem that had to be sloved. A big thanks to Noel for the Artic and to Mike for the Bus. I think that Mike has trained everyone that drives a bus or truck around Galway as everyone in a bus or truck waves at him every time. It felt like I was driving Michael D around waving at everyone. A great experience and one that I wont forget. What a brilliant company with wonderful personnel and I would like to wish them all the best in the future.

From my initial contact to passing my test I could not have been happier with the high level of service I received. Aoife and all the staff working in their Ballybane Office were approachable, informative and very knowledgeable about all aspects of Driving / Driving Tests and timescales involved.
Dezzie was my Driving Instructor and he displayed all of the aforementioned traits and more. He is also very good at catering for each persons desired method of learning as well as simply being “sound as a pound”.

I just passed my Category D (Bus) with Advance Drive. Lee was excellent with providing me with enough knowledge needed to be a safe and competent road user (the very skills needed to pass the driving test). By test day, I could see my confidence soaring comparing the first day I got behind the wheel.
I can honestly say I never went into a driving test as comfortable, relaxed and confident as I did today, all thanks to Lee's professionalism and experience.

Hi all. I passed my cpc bus practical walk around test today in galway.. I want to thank aoife and Carla at the desk in the office for setting all up for me..Thank to my instructor Dessie who went over everything before hand with me in the pouring rain.. his help assured me and put me at ease and gave me the confidence to do well and pass..

Passed my BE test first time after lessons with Noel. In space of a few lessons. I went from never having towed a trailer to being confident towing.

I can't speak highly enough of the team at Advance Drive, I passed the HGV rigid first time with the help of Vincent who was the instructor. He was excellent, very professional, understanding and skillful with the patience of a saint. Philip and Gerry were excellent, they were very helpful and went out of their way to to accomodate me. Finally Aoife, I can only describe Aoife as an absolute little star and a real gem for Advance Drive. I dealt with Aoife regularly and she was brilliant, extremely polite and courteous and just a real pleasure to deal with. Left no stone unturned to make sure everything was right. I would give them 10/10, would definitely recommend them if you want success and a good experience. Thank you very much Advance Drive :o)

After failing in my test in a different town, I decided to take lessons from Advance Drive. Vas was my instructor. I took only 5 lessons with him and gained my confidence back. He's very thorough and systematic. He is an excellent instructor. I wish I had taken all my mandatory lessons with him so I wouldn't have wasted my time and money at the first place. Wherever you live, I highly recommend you to take lessons with him. Thank you so much!
