I passed my truck C test yesterday. I never drove a truck before and did seven lessons with Advance Drive instructor PJ Dunne. PJ’s tuition was 10/10, excellent, extremely professional. He is very personable and puts you at ease. His extensive experience is priceless, and he weighs your capabilities instantly and focuses on your weaknesses. He also drills you on the headline Health and safety and has his easy-to-follow notations to program you in good practice. The test is difficult, I was pushed on every element during the test. The lessons got rid of my years of ‘bad habits’ driving a jeep. During the test, PJ’s advice loud in my head at every junction, tight corner squeezed road due to road works, looking ahead to preempt potential hazards all came together the day of the test. When the examiner spoke to me briefly after the test, she said – ‘You must have been driving a truck for a while.’ That is a testimony to how good Advance Drive is and Instructor PJ Dunne. I highly recommend Advance drive for any of your driving lessons. In house Aoife, who had to account for my few cancellations, is very professional, friendly, and polite. I am delighted to have passed my D bus test on the first attempt. I was lucky enough to have 2 different instructors - Noel and Gerry. I feel both instructors had a different style of teaching and I definitely learned different things from each of them. They were both very thorough in making sure I was ready for the test and confident in the test procedure. The office staff are exceptional. They are accommodating and considerate. They know their job and they were great to call me and offer me an extra lesson before my test, when a slot became available. Finally passed my driving test yesterday. Could not recommend Advance Drive enough, my instructor Vas was incredibly patient and could always tell me exactly where I was going wrong and what I needed to do to fix it. He was so terrific and professional and told me exactly what I needed to do to get my license. Driving did not come naturally to me at all and I had absolutely no experience driving a car before starting lessons. Even so, I always felt comfortable and never worried that getting my license was unachievable, as the lessons were really tailored to what I needed. Just passed my bus course with advance in conjunction with GRETB. I had Vincent as my instructor and he is excellent would highly recommend him for anyone thinking off getting the bus or truck licence. The staff are very helpful from start to finish from meeting Phillip when you first join to Emma and Aoife and Lee who are always there to help with any questions you need answered. Ronald took us for cpc training and has years of experience and makes it easy to learn. Cant recommend Advance Drive highly enough.

An absolute pleasure as always working with Phillip and the Advance Drive team, I have passed all my exams using Advance drive and can't praise them enough from there organisation to physically driving instructors, they have an excellent team who are all over it in every department and are always there to help. I have passed the car, jeep & trailer, bus and truck with Advance Driver, super professional and I will be back to do the artic.

I found Advance to be excellent. I did truck lessons with them and passed first time in both the CPC and main test. They have great experience they put you at ease and explain everything. There vehicles are excellent to learn in.

Passed my D class bus licence test this week. I 'm convinced that it was down to the very professional team of people at Advanced Drive in Galway that I did so well in every aspect of the training. The training is both relaxed and very professional in the delivery. You find your self all of a sudden in about week 5 or 6 of the 10 week course having a very good understanding of what is required as a professional bus driver. Even more surprising you will be driving a D class Bus around Galway and Oranmore like it was your daily drive. That really impressed me! I would like to say a very warm and grateful thank you to all the talented team at Advance Drive, long may you continue. J Bennis, Bus driver..... If you are considering a career driving or just want to start with your Car licence, do not put it off or worry about your ability. Hi All, I just want to thank Dezzie and all the team at Advance Drive for helping me pass my Class B driving test last Monday in Westside Galway. Overall, I did 17 lessons with Dezzie in the Ford Fiesta and I found him to be extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable at all times, and I can definitely say that he has the patience of a saint. As such, I can't recommend Advance Drive enough and I know that I would not have passed my driving test first time round without Dezzie's expert help. Thanks a million Dezzie.

I cannot reccomend Advance Drive enough for new drivers! After failing the test three times with other instructors I had lost all confidence in my driving abilities. And became a very nervous driver. I then went to Advance Drive where Noel became my new instructor. Noel changed my whole perspective on driving and the nerves went away. He's so patient and understanding and I found the lessons to be fun and enjoyable in comparison to other driving schools in Galway. 10/10 for Noel & Advanced drive, could not reccomend enough! Definitely the reason for me passing my test!
