I just completed a 10 week GRETB bus drivers course. The course was managed and run by Advance Drive Galway . The course included ten two hour lessons. CPC training,first aid responders course and lifting and manual handling course. Advance Drive are a very professional organisation. There staff and management were very friendly, supportive and efficient in everything they did. My instructor for the 10 weeks was Vincent Jennings. He was an excellent tutor with great patience. He really prepared me for my test, which I passed on my first attempt. I would highly recommend Advance Drive for anyone considering bus driving as a profession.

My driving lessons were disrupted by the recent health crisis, but once I joined up with Advance Drive and my instructor Martin, I flew through my remaining EDT's. Martin was a fantastic instructor and made me feel very comfortable getting back to driving as I was quite nervous. After a few lessons with him, my confidence grew leaps and bounds and with just three extra lessons after the essential ones, I passed my test the first time! Got my C1 and my full D license first time round so far with Advance Drive in the space of about 4months. Cannot recommend Advance and Dezzie enough. Brilliant guidance and instruction. Great value for money.

Passed my driving test on the first try and I must say that speaks about the professionalism at this institute! Flan was just amazing in training you aptly and he makes you so familiar with the test routes and format! Nothing less than a 5 star rating for Advance Drive!

Vas was an excellent driving instructor. The lessons were clear and concise and if I was ever unsure of anything Vas was patient and explained everything clearly and he really helped with my confidence. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

I had Vincent as my instructor for the bus, he was excellent, very friendly, very informative and really professional. My 2 hours lessons just flew by with him! Thanks to the guys in the office and on reception too, great bunch a lads! Now I'm a professional bus driver and I'm delighted!!!

An excellent experience throughout, from Aoife in the front office, keeping taps on the paperwork to Noel on the driving lessons and Ronnie with the CPC Modules, every staff member was professional, knowledgeable and dealt with every complication with ease. The instructors have decades worth of real world experience which often added that invaluable extra level of knowledge that the text books just don’t contain.

It being almost 43 years since I did my last driving test, I was a little nervous and apprehensive at doing the bus driving course and test especially as I'm now in my early 60's. I should not have worried, the instructors both in practical driving and theory were excellent. Knowledgeable, patient, encouraging as well as being precise and constructive in their feedback. Passing the driving test and CPC, has been a most satisfying adventure, for which I would recommend Advance Drive to anyone contemplating driving.
