I went to Advanced drive after they were recommended by a friend. I have now passed 2 tests with them (bus and truck) and can't praise them enough. Phillip and Mike are both very patient and encouraging during the learning process. During each pre-test lesson they re-assured me and gave me ways to deal with the test nerves. I would highly recommend Advance Drive and in particular my instructor Pat in Galway. I was taken through all the requisite skills in great detail, i.e clutch control, observation and road positioning etc, such that I passed the test without any problems and felt no nerves on the day. Passed my driving test after few hours with Vas from Advance drive. He is absolutely amazing! So much patience and understanding! Due to covid, my learning lasted 2 years, I changed 4 different instructors from different driving schools. Vas made it all possible, I wouldn't be driving without him! I just completed a 10 week GRETB bus drivers course. The course was managed and run by Advance Drive Galway . The course included ten two hour lessons. CPC training,first aid responders course and lifting and manual handling course. Advance Drive are a very professional organisation. There staff and management were very friendly, supportive and efficient in everything they did. My instructor for the 10 weeks was Vincent Jennings. He was an excellent tutor with great patience. He really prepared me for my test, which I passed on my first attempt. I would highly recommend Advance Drive for anyone considering bus driving as a profession.

I'm euphoric, I passed the C Truck Licence which now allows us to head off into the sunset in our gorgeous huge camper van. Under Noel's tuition from Advance Drive every minute of every hour was spent learning and correcting and improving and more learning until we reached our goal. As an experienced driver with over 10 years experience in the US, I thought driving lessons were going to be a total waste of time. However, my experience working with Alan was nothing short of fantastic! Alan showed himself to be well-suited to teaching/instructive environments and tasks as he made lessons fun, engaging, and demonstrated a high degree of competence in both correcting bad habits of mine and even teaching me some new things without me becoming anxious or frustrated. Additionally, Advance Drive itself was incredibly accommodating with it's selection of dates and times suitable for a working professional such as myself. After passing the test on my first try with minimal issue, I cannot recommend them enough. 10 out of 10!

I completed my bus licence back in January and rigid licence in May with Advance Drive. I could not be any happier with all of the staff that made it such an easy task in obtaining both licences. Thanks to Lee in helping me get my bus licence, who was so professional in explaining everything in great detail to me (never knew how much you need to look in the mirrors, but I do now) but never made you feel under pressure or nervous. Passed my D class bus licence test this week. I 'm convinced that it was down to the very professional team of people at Advanced Drive in Galway that I did so well in every aspect of the training. The training is both relaxed and very professional in the delivery. You find your self all of a sudden in about week 5 or 6 of the 10 week course having a very good understanding of what is required as a professional bus driver. Even more surprising you will be driving a D class Bus around Galway and Oranmore like it was your daily drive. That really impressed me! I found my instruction from Advance Drive to be top class, when my test date came around they really accommodated me with the tuition I needed, I felt well prepared on the day of my test which I passed with flying colours. I done a 10 week course with advance drive and found it very professional and helpful in many ways. I just done my bus test and cpc test this morning and passed it the first time with just 1 grade 1 fault. The tutors and driving instructors were so helpful informative and brilliant I'd highly reccomend them.

I passed my Cat D License FIRST TIME around with the help of a great team including Vincent on the Driving lessons , Ronald and Gerry on CPC / Health and Safety. The back up in the office from Aoife and Emma is first class with reminder emails and texts to make sure everyone knows what , when and where they are at . Couldn't fault any of the staff .Thankyou everyone. I would highly recommend !

I just passed my jeep and trailer test with advance drive. I had Colm as my instructor, he was an absolute gent, I was on a tight time line to get it done and Colm got me through it, passing it first time. I would highly highly recommended advance drive and Colm. Thanks again lads 💯

I had failed the test before (maybe more than once). A few lessons with Garry and I finally passed. An excellent instructor. "Tar and Tyres", "GOSHO" will always be remembered. Highly recommended. Thanks again Garry.

I would highly recommend advance drive. I done the rigid, artic, and the bus with the lads and flew thru all the tests with there help. Between the good gear that they have and the great instructors it's no wonder they have a high pass rate!
