- Instructor: Vas is an excellent instructor, very careful with details; aways show the exact procedures for the exam; point out all the right and wrong maneuvers during the lessons; encourage you and prepare you for the stressful day of the test.
- Driving centre: it was the only driving centre I found with available agenda for a short period; They have both manual and automatic cars; They have a good price; They are flexible; They always answer you very quick.

Passed my test first time for the c1 license with advance. Only started with them 4 weeks ago and got all my lessons and test done within the month. Serious set up and couldn't have had a nicer instructor, pj is mighty at his job and sound as a bell to top it off. Aoife and Ailbhe were brilliant in accommodating me aswell with dates and lessons. Serious crowd to go with and I'd recommend to anyone. 🙌

Passed my category D bus driving test first time with a clean sheet. This was thanks to my instructor Gerry B's fantastic training and guidance. Gerry guided me from complete novice to competent driver and did it with patience, professionalism and good humour. I always felt comfortable and in good hands throughout my training. Fantastic trainer, great knowledge and a genuinely nice guy.
The ladies in the office were also very helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend Advanced Drive to anyone looking to aquire their licence.

I have just completed the 10 week category D driver training course with Advance Drive. I would highly recommend the company and the course to anyone. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and very professional.
Everything is cover from, First Aid Responder, Manual handling, Case studies and CPC practical training along with the driving test itself.
My instructor "Mike" is a pure gentleman and has the patience of a Saint he made me feel at ease right from the start. As a transgender woman I'm always ony guard but it absolutely was not an issue from the get go.
I will highly recommend Advance Drive in Galway to everyone.

Could not Recommend higher!
Waited all year to begin the Delivery Driver course which ended up being delayed due to Covid. Waited an extra 4 months and it was still worth the wait!
All the staff were exceptional. My instructor, Mark, is the best driving instructor in Galway! I have him to thank for passing my test first go!

I found Advance to be excellent. I did truck lessons with them and passed first time in both the CPC and main test. They have great experience they put you at ease and explain everything. There vehicles are excellent to learn in.

You can't go wrong with Choosing Advance Drive The entire Team are so helpful and will do their best to get you where you need to go.
I recently passed my Artic Licence first go and it's all thanks to Noel my instructor he is incredibly patent and will explain everything in great detail and knows excatly how to guide ya through the process and he is also great craic most fun I had while learning also he has a great way of making it feel so chill and relax.

I am really happy for passing my driving test. Of course i would not have a change passing without Martin my instructor. A massive thanks for this man. I never drove in my life and also never had experience in driving at all until I started my lessons at Advance Drive School. I remember how bad i was with my driving skills. I was scared and afraid of driving too. But Martin supported me from the start and gave his best to help me to improve my skills and my confidence. During my lessons i could learn so much and practice a lot. Every 2 hour lessons helped me to build my confidence and fix all my mistakes. I just wanted to say big thanks for Martin and for the whole team at the office. You all deserve the best, because you take care of us so well. Honestly, Advance Drive is a high level top school.

A great experience overall doing lessons with advance drive, from booking and scheduling lessons with the ever helpful Aoife in the office to the lessons themselves with the instructor (shane)
He was a great help in preparing me for the test and was always able to answer any questions regarding the test itself. When it came to the test I knew every route likely to be tested on and was confident of passing from the get go.

I highly recommend Declan as a driving instructor. Declan will always encourage you and support you along the way. He will make your driving experience enjoyable. Just passed my first driving test and I'm so happy. Pat was a very calm and patient instructor who helped me as I was nervous starting off. Then I had Noel who was very positive in the weeks coming up to my test. Both had excellent ways of teaching me good driving habits that I will always use. Today, at the age of 43, I at last passed my driving test; doing so, on my first attempt. After years of hesitancy, and a belief I wasn't capable of driving well, the skills, ability and professionalism exhibited by my driving instructor - Noel Nee, at all times ensured that I was more than capable and ready to achieve my full category B driving license. In no small way, it was the enthusiasm, patience, exacting dedication to excellence, humility, and his earnest sense of putting the learner first that allowed me advance with confidence to the position of executing my test, and further passing with a confidence I thought I did not own. Since my initial lesson with Noel, I was always greeted with optimism, calm, and a capacity to teach that at all times remained with me, and will, I believe, remain with me as I begin driving as a novice licensee. Again, since meeting Noel, I always felt listened to, treated as an equal, and spoken to in a manner that allowed me learn, returning each time with the knowledge I was growing in awareness, and further honing the skills necessary to become a competent driver. Here, his advice and willingness to go above and beyond in terms of ensuring I understood, while also instilling a belief I was more than capable, all indelibly paved the way to my passing the test in a successful manner. Today, therefore, it is without hesitation that I write this testimonial in the hope that Noel is somehow given the credit he richly deserves, and, from here, would gladly recommend him as an instructor to any and all, in particular those lacking the confidence in their own abilities. He remains an exceptionally good teacher exacting all those attributes required to allow those he tutors to excel as they should.
In turn, I also wish to acknowledge the professionalism and understanding I was at all times met with by the staff at Advance Drive, in particular Aoife and Emma, who always met me with warmth, kindness, humour, and patience, in what has been an unprecedented and drawn out year. Undoubtedly, their ability to meet my needs financially allowed me to continue to progress with them, especially at times of financial stress. Again, their ability to show compassion and understanding proved worthy and invaluable, which is why i would have no hesitation recommending they as a professional body to any wishing to avail of lessons, where staff and instructors put the learner's need first. At a time in which the humanity or personal seems to be on the wain, the people at Advanced Drive remain a testament to what good companies are really all about - providing a service that ensures the customer is happy and further satisfied they chose to run with that company in the first place.

Amazing lessons, great instructors and a very central location in Galway city. This is definitely a 5 star driving school.
Both office staff - Aoife and Emma were always on hand to organize lessons at very short notice along with being very helpful and professional.
My instructors Lee and Anton were hugely influential upon passing my category C driving test. What you will learn from these two guys will not only benefit you during your driving test but also in your future driving life especially when it comes to your safety and well being on the road.

I have just completed my "C" Truck Licence and passed on the first attempt, thanks to PJ Dunne who is a phenomenal Truck Driving Instructor: Also I had great support and assistance in preparing for my CPC practical. The structure of the lessons are second to none. I really like the fact that I had a pre test hour before my test on the day, which prepared me well and settled my nerves ! I cant thank PJ enough, and the Advance team, who were extremely accommodating when booking my lessons, which often had to be re-scheduled due to my work load. Philip is an absolute genius when it comes to driving and answering questions you ask there is absolutely nothing he doesn\'t know, done 3 tests in a year rigid, coach and artic yesterday 1st oct with nearly a clean sheet only 1 fault due to another very unprofessional bus driver. how good is that for a result driving a truck with a 35ft trailor thanks to the expert tuition from Philip. impossible to fail. why go to an apprentice when you can learn from a professional cheers philip

I am delighted that I passed my category D1 mini-bus test today (09/02/16). I can't praise Dezzie in Advance Drive enough for his excellent tutoring. He had me thoroughly prepared & fully ready for my test. He put me at ease & gave me confidence. Thanks Dezzie. I also passed my BE jeep & trailer test & my Category C rigid test in the last few years after receiving lessons from Advance Drive. I would highly recommend Advance Drive to those looking for driving lessons in any vehicle category.

I was Delighted to pass my Category D Bus test on my first attempt yesterday Thanks to all the guys at Advance Drive, they are a very professional set up and I couldn’t recommend them enough .
I have to give a special mention to Gerry who was my instructor, Gerry is a professional who knows his job inside out and gives great confidence and self belief, he is also good fun and gives a relaxed feel to the whole experience, I think I will be hearing “Mind that tail swing and mirror mirror” in my sleep for the next ten years!
Thanks also to Aoife, Alilbhe and Emma in the office who were always very helpful when I was looking for any information.
Overall I would highly recommend Advance Drive to anyone wishing to learn to drive or add a new category to their license.

I made five lessons with Pat and he was great, very helpful, calm, patient, and motivated me to keep trying. It made all the difference for me. Before I met him, all the other instructors were rude on the telephone on the first contact, they were assuming that I was a terrible trainee only because I wanted to change instructors even before they met me personally. Done my car lessons with Martin in galway,he was a great teacher with lots of good coaching skills and he had lots of experience. I was delighted to have Martin as my driving instructor thanks for helping me pass my test first time around I appreciate it!

Just passed my C licence Rigid truck under Dezzie's tuition this morning. Excellent school and only the best teachers around! Patience and outstanding communication from the instructor with superior knowledge of not only what he was teaching but of what I was going to do next. He s always 5 steps ahead to ensure everything was done correctly. Id recommend Advance Drive to all without question. Looking forward to doing my D licence already!!!!

I done a 10 week course with advance drive and found it very professional and helpful in many ways. I just done my bus test and cpc test this morning and passed it the first time with just 1 grade 1 fault. The tutors and driving instructors were so helpful informative and brilliant I'd highly reccomend them.
