A huge thank you to Mr.Lee for his insight and patience with my driving. Whilst I have a driving license in another country, he made it very easy to understand the differences between the road rules and knew exactly what I would struggle with. Rather than teach the 'test answers' he made sure that I would be confident on the road - regardless of the situation. Passed first time.

The in-house staff at advanced drive are very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to help me with any queries I had. Even if they did not have the answer at hand, they made sure to phone me back with the answer.
It is a very professional and welcoming environment and despite the course being 3 months, it felt like 3 weeks.
My instructor, Gerry Burke was a fantastic instructor. He was friendly, banterful yet firm and professional.
We worked on the practical aspects of the bus course rigorously all while smiling and joking, and this ultimately made the test itself a breeze.

I passed my rigid truck (C) license at the first attempt yesterday, delighted! I did most of my lessons with Dezzie and one lesson with Mike. There were a few bumps along the road - took me a year from start to finish because my work interfered with booking and scheduling lessons - but Advance Drive as a company left me with the feeling that they care about each and every one of their students. They gave individual attention to me, and I am sure every student who chooses to train with them. Each person gets the education, practice, information and personal attention that they as an individual need. Now I feel like a competent and confident driver. I recommend this school. I want to thank particularly Dezzie for doing most of my lessons, your training style made everything feel very natural and easy and clear and I wish to thank everyone else who had a hand in my success: Mike, Phillip, and Aoife for all your help as a team to get me through at first attempt.

Thanks a million to all at Advance. I've just completed a hat-trick of Rigid, Bus and Artic tests and it's all thanks to your team. I've learned a lot, made new friends and had great craic in 2024 thanks to Advance - and not forgetting Patricia and all at GRETB. Everyone involved was professional and courteous but more importantly, very helpful and supportive. The instructors all had great patience and skill - and above all, a sense of humour (and they certainly needed that at times!). And the back-room team were always a pleasure to deal with - very efficient.
Phillip and Ailbhe, ye have a great team there - keep doing what ye're doing. And put me on the waiting list for next year's Sikorsky 101 course - although I'm dreading the hill-start!

Just passed my first driving test and I'm so happy. Pat was a very calm and patient instructor who helped me as I was nervous starting off. Then I had Noel who was very positive in the weeks coming up to my test. Both had excellent ways of teaching me good driving habits that I will always use. Passed my D class bus licence test this week.
I 'm convinced that it was down to the very professional team of people at Advanced Drive in Galway that I did so well in every aspect of the training. The training is both relaxed and very professional in the delivery. You find your self all of a sudden in about week 5 or 6 of the 10 week course having a very good understanding of what is required as a professional bus driver. Even more surprising you will be driving a D class Bus around Galway and Oranmore like it was your daily drive. That really impressed me!

I had a great experience with Advance Drive in my training for the 'D' licence. The course was intense and took me a little longer than expected (that's down to me and not the instructor!) but I passed my test first time and the quality of Lee's instruction came through for me. He was very patient and professional and always gave me the encouragement to persevere. I couldn't recommend Lee, Pat and the office team more - thanks lads!!

I cannot reccomend Advance Drive enough for new drivers!
After failing the test three times with other instructors I had lost all confidence in my driving abilities. And became a very nervous driver.
I then went to Advance Drive where Noel became my new instructor.
Noel changed my whole perspective on driving and the nerves went away. He's so patient and understanding and I found the lessons to be fun and enjoyable in comparison to other driving schools in Galway.
10/10 for Noel & Advanced drive, could not reccomend enough! Definitely the reason for me passing my test!

Today I passed my BE trailer licence test thanks to the coaching and guidance from Noel the instructor and Aoife in the office who were top class at what they do. I used their Jeep & Trailer which was very easy to use for both the lessons and my test. The advance drive team are absolutely fantastic and Noel is simply an amazing instructor! I just passed my test for B- car licence and it really is thanks to Noel and the Advance Drive team. I was learning to drive late and Noel encouraged and taught me to get the confidence and skill to drive. It was a great experience and now I feel ready for the road! Aoife, Ailbhe, and Gerry were all fantastic as well! Each of them brought something unique to the course, and their kindness and professionalism were evident from the start. It was clear that they genuinely want their students to succeed, and that made all the difference.
I also want to express my gratitude to Ronald, the course tutor. His insights and supportive teaching style helped me feel prepared and confident for the road ahead.
But it wasn’t just about the instructors—everyone who was part of the course with me was so supportive and friendly. It really felt like a community, and I will miss those weekly lessons with everyone.

Passed my CE test first time thanks for advance drive, all thanks to Dezzie's tuition! He was calm, professional, patient and a great teacher! Made me feel at ease straight away and knocked all the bad habits out of me! Very flexible and willing to accommodate changing bookings at short notice. I have no bad reports for advance drive, I would highly recommend them. Advance provide an excellent service and I would highly recommend them .

Hi All, I just want to thank Dezzie and all the team at Advance Drive for helping me pass my Class B driving test last Monday in Westside Galway. Overall, I did 17 lessons with Dezzie in the Ford Fiesta and I found him to be extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable at all times, and I can definitely say that he has the patience of a saint. As such, I can't recommend Advance Drive enough and I know that I would not have passed my driving test first time round without Dezzie's expert help. Thanks a million Dezzie.

Would highly recommend Advance Drive,Phillip has so much patience its unbelievable,passed both my C and D tests first time very easy,the name ADVANCE speaks for itself your fully advanced when your finished with phillip in both driving and CPC tests.I now also have a great knowledge of dangers of other drivers and different things you come across on a day to day basis on the road especially on the busy streets of galway.cheers phillip.........L Warde

I went to Advance Drive for mini bus lessons and thankfully passed my test last Tuesday.
I got held up on taking my test as Covid just came in when I had started with the lessons. I found Mike in the earlier lessons I took to be very good & helpfull and in the last few lessons I took with Gerry Burke I found him also very good & helpfull.
I would strongly recommend them both if you want to sign up with Advance Drive.
Aoife on reception is most helpfull in scheduling your lessons.
