From my initial contact to passing my test I could not have been happier with the high level of service I received. Aoife and all the staff working in their Ballybane Office were approachable, informative and very knowledgeable about all aspects of Driving / Driving Tests and timescales involved.
Dezzie was my Driving Instructor and he displayed all of the aforementioned traits and more. He is also very good at catering for each persons desired method of learning as well as simply being “sound as a pound”.
I have nothing but the highest regard for all the staff at Advance Drive and can confidently recommend them to anyone looking to get any kind of Driving Licence.

I passed my Cat D License FIRST TIME around with the help of a great team including Vincent on the Driving lessons , Ronald and Gerry on CPC / Health and Safety. The back up in the office from Aoife and Emma is first class with reminder emails and texts to make sure everyone knows what , when and where they are at . A great experience overall doing lessons with advance drive, from booking and scheduling lessons with the ever helpful Aoife in the office to the lessons themselves with the instructor (shane)
He was a great help in preparing me for the test and was always able to answer any questions regarding the test itself. When it came to the test I knew every route likely to be tested on and was confident of passing from the get go.

He was very patient with me as I had no experience starting off and made sure I was confident and ready to pass when it came to my test. I did both the rigid and artic courses with Advance over the last two years and I couldn’t praise them enough. Found all the staff very helpful and obliging. The instructor that I had for the artic that I just finished with today was Dessie, I found him great and I felt very comfortable and relaxed and I’d recommend him and Advance to anyone going forward.

I had a great experience with Advance Drive i done my bus a few years ago with Lee and last month I went and passed my Rigid with Martin and had Noel for my pre test really good lads very easy to get on with and very helpful, and the girls in the office always went above and beyond with any questions I had. I'll probably go and try the artic next and hopefully get another clean sheet fingers crossed so I'll be in touch.

Amazing lessons, great instructors and a very central location in Galway city. This is definitely a 5 star driving school.
Both office staff - Aoife and Emma were always on hand to organize lessons at very short notice along with being very helpful and professional.
My instructors Lee and Anton were hugely influential upon passing my category C driving test. What you will learn from these two guys will not only benefit you during your driving test but also in your future driving life especially when it comes to your safety and well being on the road.
No need to google anybody else - you have found the best instructors right here.

Advance Drive are fantastic! I passed my C1 category test first time and I could not have done it without my instructor Martin. He was very helpful and had great patience with me. Martin answered any questions I had and kept me motivated to pass. Aoife was always so lovely and helpful when it came to booking my lessons and my test. It was very easy to contact Aoife which made everything that bit easier. I couldn't recommend Advance Drive more!

Recently passed my rigid truck course on first go. From the girls in the office to my instructor Martin, I found them extremely helpful and the whole process was smooth and worry free. Would recommend highly as they organise test dates for you and structure training accordingly, making the training as stress free as possible.

I was very nervous when starting to learn to drive a bus. I had never driven a bus in my life! But the training and instruction I got was excellent. The information and advice I got from Vincent during the lessons on the road, were very accurate, and he made me feel completely at home when driving the bus. Because of him I felt quite confident the day of the test, and so was delighted when I passed! with only one tick against me. I was absolutely delighted and really appreciated all the effort the Advance Drive Team gave to me. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

Brilliant experience with Advance Drive who helped me pass my category D licence. My driving instructor Mike was fantastic, he showed me the ropes behind the wheel of a bus and what to look out for. I had Declan as an instructor and he was a straightforward and practical shooter. I found the 2 hour format much more effective for developing my driving as there are always car checks and initial jitters starting a session, then the second hour really beds in good driving habit.

He has a great ability to inform his student of what to do, and how to do it, while keeping the student relaxed.
Vincent will concentrate on a students mistakes/errors, and will make the corrections.

Dessie subtly gets the point across of the mistakes that you are making without making you feel bad about it. Advance Drive was a great option to complete my EDT in the way to obtain the Irish driving license.
Very responsive and proffesionals, Emma and Aoife were great in supporting the classes scheduling and booking the car for the day of the test. For me it was very valuable the offered service to book the same car to take the exam.
My instructor Pat was brilliant and patient in guiding me in the introduction to Ireland's driving rules and correcting me some bad driving habits!. He gave me very good tips, that I took, and I am very happy to have passed the driving test today!

Had a great learning experience with advance drive.
Passed the C and CE with advanced and the instructors were brilliant to say the least. They made me feel confident going for the test and helped me pass first time for both categories. Can’t recommend them enough!! 👍

Recently completed my C class Rigid truck licence with advance drive ,
My instructor Lee was great , he was clear ,consise and always provided constructive feedback to improve progress and keep improving my driving standard . The staff in the office were great aswell and very accommodating. Thanks to Aoife and Emma .
I would highly recommend advance drive and Im planning to progress and get my D licence along with my Ce in the comming months with advance drive .

I have just completed my "C" Truck Licence and passed on the first attempt, thanks to PJ Dunne who is a phenomenal Truck Driving Instructor: Also I had great support and assistance in preparing for my CPC practical. The structure of the lessons are second to none. I really like the fact that I had a pre test hour before my test on the day, which prepared me well and settled my nerves ! I cant thank PJ enough, and the Advance team, who were extremely accommodating when booking my lessons, which often had to be re-scheduled due to my work load. I will be preparing to commit to my D licence in the Autumn with the Advance Team in Galway. Many thanks to all. Sass O Flynn
