I passed my EB test first time around on the 19/06/13, thanks to Phillip and his excellent tutoring. I found him very professional. He had me well prepared and very focused for the test.I would highly recommend him and the Advance Drive team to others in the future.

Passed my test first time for the c1 license with advance. Only started with them 4 weeks ago and got all my lessons and test done within the month. Serious set up and couldn't have had a nicer instructor, pj is mighty at his job and sound as a bell to top it off. Aoife and Ailbhe were brilliant in accommodating me aswell with dates and lessons. Serious crowd to go with and I'd recommend to anyone. 🙌

The teacher (in my case Vas) was always composed and taught all principles of driving excellently, while also correcting every aspect that needed improvement in my driving. Really encouraging to get better and to focus on the road. Your money will be very well invested here. I pass my driving test, with no faults on the first try!

Just a quick note of thanks to advance drive for helping me complete my artic training. I cannot recommend the company highly enough my instructor was Lee and he was very professional and thorough through out my training and gently pushed me to my Limited in order to get it across the line. Galway is a busy city and I was not familiar wit it but with the help of Lee all went well. The company's communication is also top class and with prompt reminders for upcoming lessons I found it let's the training flow with nothing to worry about I have to thank Aoife for this. Also big thanks to Gerry for getting it off d ground. 5 star company

I cannot reccomend Advance Drive enough for new drivers!
After failing the test three times with other instructors I had lost all confidence in my driving abilities. And became a very nervous driver.
I then went to Advance Drive where Noel became my new instructor.
Noel changed my whole perspective on driving and the nerves went away. He's so patient and understanding and I found the lessons to be fun and enjoyable in comparison to other driving schools in Galway.
10/10 for Noel & Advanced drive, could not reccomend enough! Definitely the reason for me passing my test!

I have just completed the 10 week category D driver training course with Advance Drive. I would highly recommend the company and the course to anyone. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and very professional.
Everything is cover from, First Aid Responder, Manual handling, Case studies and CPC practical training along with the driving test itself.
My instructor "Mike" is a pure gentleman and has the patience of a Saint he made me feel at ease right from the start. As a transgender woman I'm always ony guard but it absolutely was not an issue from the get go.
I will highly recommend Advance Drive in Galway to everyone.

I was a nervous wreck going into my first lesson but Garry has a gift of making you feel at ease, safe and ultimately a capable confident driver. "What would Garry do" and "GOSHO" will be forever imprinted on my mind!!

Can't thank the staff at Advance Drive enough, only for them I wouldn't have my truck licence. I would highly recommend them especially Mike (driving instructor), Trevor Bonner (Forklift instructor) and James Folan (Rules of the Road). Lee done most of my lessons, he's a strict instructor but good, always open to questions. I was fairly nervous on the run up to my driving test but Mike really helped, he gave me a mock test, it eased my nerves. I really enjoyed the HGV course. All the staff are lovely, very approachable and easy to talk to. I'd highly recommend Advance Drive, keep up the good work!

I would highly recommend Advance Drive and in particular my instructor Pat in Galway. I was taken through all the requisite skills in great detail, i.e clutch control, observation and road positioning etc, such that I passed the test without any problems and felt no nerves on the day. I thank my instructor for his expertise and for sharing his knowledge of how to perform in the test on the day. His instruction really matched all the requirements of the test and made the experience much easier, as well as successful. Highly recommended.

I’d like to say many thanks to Declan, Aoife and Carla of Advance Drive Galway. What I’ve noticed from Declan’s teachings is that he is incredibly patient and he helps you understand exactly what you’re doing incorrectly in a calm and understanding manner during the EDT and extended lessons prior to my driving test. I highly advise newcomer learner drivers to select Declan as their driving instructor.

i cant say enough good things about advance drive all there staff are excellent i now have my rigid and artic licence and 3 types of fork lifts and safe pass
and all instructors were top class they have a no nonsense approach they push you when needed for your own good to get you as good as possible for your test
aoife is excellent at her job.
, friendly and knows all the info you need straight off vincent was my instructor for the rigid and got me through first time tops class
dessie was my instructor for the artic he doesnt miss a thing but thats good he got me trough first time deserves a medal

After weeks of preparation and hard work, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve passed my bus driving licence exam! The journey wasn’t always easy, but it was incredibly rewarding.
I want to thank my instructor (Noel) for their patience and guidance throughout the training process. He is not only taught me the technical skills needed but also instilled confidence in my abilities to handle a bus safely and responsibly.
The testing process was thorough and fair, challenging me to showcase all the skills and knowledge I’d gained. Passing this milestone feels like a major achievement, and I’m excited to begin a new chapter in my career as a licensed bus driver.
To anyone preparing for their own test: stay focused, trust the process, and practice as much as you can. It’s worth it!

I am really happy for passing my driving test. Of course i would not have a change passing without Martin my instructor. A massive thanks for this man. I never drove in my life and also never had experience in driving at all until I started my lessons at Advance Drive School. I remember how bad i was with my driving skills. I was scared and afraid of driving too. But Martin supported me from the start and gave his best to help me to improve my skills and my confidence. During my lessons i could learn so much and practice a lot. Every 2 hour lessons helped me to build my confidence and fix all my mistakes. I just wanted to say big thanks for Martin and for the whole team at the office. You all deserve the best, because you take care of us so well. Honestly, Advance Drive is a high level top school.

An excellent experience throughout, from Aoife in the front office, keeping taps on the paperwork to Noel on the driving lessons and Ronnie with the CPC Modules, every staff member was professional, knowledgeable and dealt with every complication with ease. Passed my Jeep and Trailer test with my instructor Noel.
From start to finish Noel was brilliant, clear instructions and very good knowledge of all aspects of driving with a trailer. I would like to thank Noel for all his time and hard work. Having resently passed my driving test for category "D" Bus Licence, I would just like to thank Advance Drive for all the tuition and instruction that I received in preparation for the driving test and also the bus case studies exam. Ronald was on the mark as usual for the possible case study questions that might come up on the day of the test and passing on all that knowledge. Thank you Ronald so much.
As far as my bus driving skills needed to be brought up to a high standard in order for me to pass the test, I have Mike to thank for all his patience and professionalism. You got me to that level required to pass. Thank you for everything Mike.

Delighted to pass the rigid test yesterday. PJ Dunne was brilliant who made it all a breeze throughout the 12 hour course. It was a month between my last lesson and the test so credit to Anton for his help in the pre-test lesson too. A big thanks also to Aoife who I would have been lost without.

I highly recommend Dezzie my driving instructor at Advance Drive who prepared me extremely well for my driving test. I passed the Bus test first time. Great bus driving training course run by the GRETB and Advance Drive. I can’t speak highly enough of the professional team at Advance Drive. I did my D licence with Advance Drive before Christmas. Dessie was my instructor and I found him to be very experienced, patient and professional. Dessie subtly gets the point across of the mistakes that you are making without making you feel bad about it. He recommended that I do 2 extra lessons, the benefit of which was very noticeable and I may not have passed first time without them. Many thanks to Dessie and all at Advance Drive.
