I completed my bus licence back in January and rigid licence in May with Advance Drive. I could not be any happier with all of the staff that made it such an easy task in obtaining both licences. Thanks to Lee in helping me get my bus licence, who was so professional in explaining everything in great detail to me (never knew how much you need to look in the mirrors, but I do now) but never made you feel under pressure or nervous. Thanks to Vinny for helping me get my rigid who again made everything feel so easy and yet made me laugh so much. Would highly recommend either of these two lads to teach you in either bus or truck. Massive thanks to Philip and Ailbhe who both were so accommodating in providing both information and guidance anytime it was needed, espically for the CPC theory and practical. I passed my rigid test previously with Advance Drive and yesterday my jeep and trailer test, both on the first time, thanks to the great team at Advance Drive. I made five lessons with Pat and he was great, very helpful, calm, patient, and motivated me to keep trying. It made all the difference for me. Before I met him, all the other instructors were rude on the telephone on the first contact, they were assuming that I was a terrible trainee only because I wanted to change instructors even before they met me personally. Pat treated me differently, with respect and never second-guessed me. So, thank you very much Advanced Drive and Pat for your support

Passed my category D bus driving test first time with a clean sheet. This was thanks to my instructor Gerry B's fantastic training and guidance. Gerry guided me from complete novice to competent driver and did it with patience, professionalism and good humour. I always felt comfortable and in good hands throughout my training. Fantastic trainer, great knowledge and a genuinely nice guy.

I just passed my test 2 days ago and it is all thanks to Vas. He is so patient and kind and makes sure you know everything before your test. Understandably, I was getting a bit nervous before my test and Vas calmed me down and told me I know everything and to just relax. I HIGHLY recommend Vas as a driving instructor.

I am delighted to have passed my D bus test on the first attempt. I was lucky enough to have 2 different instructors - Noel and Gerry. I feel both instructors had a different style of teaching and I definitely learned different things from each of them. They were both very thorough in making sure I was ready for the test and confident in the test procedure.
The office staff are exceptional. They are accommodating and considerate. They know their job and they were great to call me and offer me an extra lesson before my test, when a slot became available.
Before passing my test, I was already recommending Advance Drive to people who have asked me about getting a bus license.

After failing in my test in a different town, I decided to take lessons from Advance Drive. Vas was my instructor. I took only 5 lessons with him and gained my confidence back. He's very thorough and systematic. He is an excellent instructor. I wish I had taken all my mandatory lessons with him so I wouldn't have wasted my time and money at the first place. I had a couple of truck driving lessons with Dessie and passed first time. Found Dessie to be very informative about all aspects of rules of the road as some of these had to be refreshed for me. I went to Advance Drive for mini bus lessons and thankfully passed my test last Tuesday.
I got held up on taking my test as Covid just came in when I had started with the lessons. I found Mike in the earlier lessons I took to be very good & helpfull and in the last few lessons I took with Gerry Burke I found him also very good & helpfull.
I would strongly recommend them both if you want to sign up with Advance Drive.
Aoife on reception is most helpfull in scheduling your lessons.

I passed my rigid truck (C) license at the first attempt yesterday, delighted! I did most of my lessons with Dezzie and one lesson with Mike. There were a few bumps along the road - took me a year from start to finish because my work interfered with booking and scheduling lessons - but Advance Drive as a company left me with the feeling that they care about each and every one of their students. They gave individual attention to me, and I am sure every student who chooses to train with them. Each person gets the education, practice, information and personal attention that they as an individual need. Now I feel like a competent and confident driver. I recommend this school. Today i passed the Bus test on my first attempt.I also passed the Artic on my first attempt too with Advance. I would like to thank all the Management and Staff for their help and advice over the last few weeks. They have always been very helpful, professional and patient in their approach with students like myself. The 2 girls at front of house were always very helpful with any problem that had to be sloved. A big thanks to Noel for the Artic and to Mike for the Bus. I think that Mike has trained everyone that drives a bus or truck around Galway as everyone in a bus or truck waves at him every time. It felt like I was driving Michael D around waving at everyone. A great experience and one that I wont forget. What a brilliant company with wonderful personnel and I would like to wish them all the best in the future.

I was very nervous when starting to learn to drive a bus. I had never driven a bus in my life! But the training and instruction I got was excellent. The information and advice I got from Vincent during the lessons on the road, were very accurate, and he made me feel completely at home when driving the bus. Because of him I felt quite confident the day of the test, and so was delighted when I passed! with only one tick against me. Just passed my Mini-Bus Driving test - thanks to Advance Drive. Highly recommend for their very professional approach to teaching. I would highly recommend Advance Drive to anyone wishing to do their driving test. I passed my C test in order to drive my horse lorry first time (in the pouring rain!). Teaching is comprehensive and prepares you to the last for the test, many thanks Philip. Very well organised service with SMS reminders of appointments and clear communication on all aspects of learning.

I found the staff in Advance Drive extremely professional and helpful. I had Vincent for my first three lessons and he was excellent. I had Dessie for the remainder of my lessons, what an expert! He gave me so much encouragement right through, I am really very grateful to everyone in Advance Drive.

Just passed my Rigid truck test today on first attempt, Cat C.
I would like to thank my instructor Pj. An absolute gentleman and a pleasure to work with, excellent knowledge and made the whole experience enjoyable, Highly recommended to anyone looking for lessons.
And the same goes to advance drive , the whole experience was professional and easy. Thanks to everyone and I will see ye soon for the artic next.

And especially to my driving instructors Martin and Dessie and a big Thanks to Dessie for getting me over the line with your relaxed informed composure and clear instructions throughout my last few lessons big shout to Dessie, Thanks a million. And a huge thanks to my instructor Mike for the hour lesson before my test he made me totally relaxed and gave me great confidence, a true Gentlemen and a great Ambassador for Advance drive.

I am delighted to say that I just passed my bus driving test. The teachers and driving instructors at Advance drive are very knowledgeable and professional.
I was a bit nervous about the driving and the test preparation, but they were very patient. They encouraged and prepared me so well that I passed my test the first time.
I highly recommend advance drive to everyone.
